Landmark Construction is a proud sponsor of the 10th Annual MandaRUN being held on November 20 to benefit the Loomis Basin Education Foundation. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the MandaRUN Half Marathon and 5K Run will go to the foundation to supplement academic and enrichment programs in the Loomis Union School District.

Joe Bittaker, President, Landmark Construction indicated that company has an affinity for supporting events that benefit education. “For our work, we choose to renovate schools and build new campuses because we all get so much satisfaction from seeing students learning in beautiful school environments,” said Bittaker. “So when there is an opportunity to challenge ourselves with a demanding run and support a charitable event benefiting schools, our employees want to join in.”
“Landmark Construction has sponsored, participated in and volunteered at the MandaRun for all 10 years since the event’s inception,” said Bittaker. “I look forward to volunteering again and the company is sponsoring entry fees for any employee who wants to participate.”
Bittaker also contributes his time as a Director on the Board of the Loomis Basin Education Foundation (LBEF). Through the MandaRUN and other fundraising efforts, the LBEF has provided funding for new technology, visual and performing arts, physical education programs and other projects.
The MandaRUN 5K runners will check in at the Loomis Train Depot Plaza and run on a route not far from Landmark Construction’s corporate office. There is a three hour course limit for the 5K. Registration for the 5K run will close at 3 PM PST on November 19, 2016. Same day registration begins on November 20th at 7:30 AM.
The Half Marathon begins at the Gold County Fairgrounds at 1273 High Street in Auburn. Past participants enjoyed the route through the gently rolling terrain of the Sierra Foothills. This course has a four hour limit. Online registration for the Half Marathon closes at 3 PM PST on November 19, 2016. There is no race day registration for the Half Marathon.
