CONSTRUCTION BID COORDINATOR

Location: Rocklin, CA                                     

Landmark Construction is looking for an experienced Bid Coordinator to assist the Preconstruction/Estimating Department on a full-time basis. This position is available as a result of company growth. CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BID COORDINATOR:

  • Work with the Preconstruction team to facilitate the bid process, including preparation of required forms for bid and proposals, monitoring of timeline, management of bid and proposal dates and subcontractor coordination
  • Manage approximately 12 – 30 bids per month
  • Research bids and proposal opportunities
  • Assist with preparation of Statement of Qualifications, coordinating input from various sources
  • Bid document tracking and distribution, including plans, specifications and addenda
  • Issue appropriate requests for bid to subcontractor
  • Apply understanding of certain bid requirements including specific applicable government programs
  • Recruit additional subcontractors to register/bid on projects
  • Management of Landmark Subcontractor Prequalification Program
  • Implement applicable document control and communication for bid team
  • Maintain good subcontractor and community relationships
  • Attend job walks as required
  • Personal contact with subcontractors via phone and e-mail
  • Maintain subcontractor list via SmartBidNet
  • Maintain bid files and records
  • Distribute bid results
  • Additional duties as needed by the company

 

YOU HAVE [3 – 5 YEARS CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE] AND:

  • Prior experience in preconstruction, bid or proposal role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure of meeting constant deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to follow through
  • Must be thorough and attentive to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook user
  • Familiar with “bid day” or “war room”
  • Commercial experience ok

 

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience working with a general contractor
  • Experience with SmartBidNet
  • Some understanding of construction plans
  • Marketing experience
