Once again, Landmark Construction is sponsoring the MandraRUN on Sunday, November 22, 2015 that benefits the Loomis Basin Education Foundation. This event is offered in conjunction with the Mandarin Festival.
The 9th Annual MandaRUN includes a half marathon and a 5K Run. The 5K route starts and ends on Taylor Rd. in Loomis, just blocks from Landmark’s corporate office. The half marathon is staged from the Gold County Fairgrounds in Auburn, CA.
In addition to being events sponsors, several Landmark Construction employees are participating as volunteers. Joe Bittaker, President, and Jacob Raibley, Project Engineer, will be helping with logistical support this year.
Joe Bittaker, President, Landmark Construction also serves on the board of the Loomis Basin Education Foundation (LBEF), the beneficiary of the MandaRUN fundraising efforts. The LBEF has provided funding for new technology, visual and performing arts, physical education programs and other projects that supplement academic and enrichment programs in the Loomis Union School District and support the district’s strategic plan.
“As dedicated builders of educational facilities and strong supporters of the Loomis community, we enjoy contributing our resources to such a worthy cause,” said Bittaker.
The 2015 Mountain Mandarin Festival will be held at the Auburn Fair Grounds on Friday November 20 to Sunday November 22. The festival attracts 25,000 people and includes foods, gifts, cooking demonstrations and musical entertainment, and of course a wide variety of Mandarins grown in Placer County.
