Modular Classroom Buildings
Landmark constructed two new modular classroom buildings at Del Dayo Elementary School and Mariemont Elementary School, two growing campuses in Sacramento, California, for a total of six classrooms. Assisting the District with preconstruction services for these projects from schematic design, we applied lessons learned from our previous successful similar projects, including critical schedule information.
During the preconstruction period, the Landmark team provided constructability review of successive plan iterations, cost estimating, and value engineering. Construction began while school was still in session in order to ensure the buildings would be delivered with plenty of time for faculty to prepare for the 2016-2017 school year. Our experienced Project Superintendents minimized impacts to the operating campus, while staying on or ahead of schedule.
Approaching this project in a collaborative manner with the design team, District, and subcontractors was of the utmost importance to deliver these new classroom buildings prior to the first day of school. Students, parents, faculty and community members were pleased with the service Landmark provided in delivering these new high-tech classrooms with natural daylighting, motorized shades, LED lighting fixtures and energy efficient control systems.
