Landmark is thrilled to share this exciting tour of The Bayshore School with you. In just 15 short months, Landmark Construction and BCA Architecture were able to deliver this $30M TK – 8 school to District Superintendent Dr. Audra Pittman and the Bayshore Community. Through strategic and creative scheduling, and the excellent performance of our high quality subcontract team, Landmark was able to overcome all unforeseen challenges throughout the project, including a particularly wet winter.

This story began with two schools, an elementary school and a middle school, both in need of major modernization. With creativity, community backing, risk and a little luck, Dr. Audra presented the idea of closing one school completely, selling the land and combining funds to make one fabulous 21st century school. This effort could not have happened without the incredible support of the Daly City community who taxed themselves not once, but twice to raise funds for the school.

“No school district in the state of California is building a $30M campus for 400 students.” Dr. Audra explains in the video. The state-of-the-art campus is on a very small footprint, only 2.12 acres and boasts over 50,000 sqft. of learning space. This includes indoor and outdoor performance spaces, second story outdoor learning areas attached to 21st century classrooms with flexible teaching spaces, STEAM spaces, maker labs, all with dramatic architecture and green construction throughout.
