Modernization

Landmark was selected, once again, to work with Brisbane School District and Studio W on the Panorama and Brisbane Elementary School modernizations. The scope of these projects included modernization of 25 permanent classrooms, the administration space, and the multipurpose space, HVAC upgrades, exterior window replacement, additional doors to classrooms, surveillance system replacement, and ADA compliance for restrooms, parking, and paths.

During our work at Panorama ES, Landmark discovered that the existing underground storm and water utilities in the “Poet’s Corner” were in conflict with new foundations. We we able to resolve the issue with no time extensions required. At Brisbane ES, Landmark discovered that the kindergarten floor was significantly rotten and required complete structural replacement. During the floor structure removal, we found asbestos debris had been stashed below the floor. This unforeseen hazardous waste was disposed of properly. The rebuild of the floor in this room required the removal of all cabinets and counter tops, providing the District the opportunity to add new cabinets and counter tops to the scope of work.
